At Stark, we forge the future of European and national security through cutting-edge, AI-driven technology and unmatched engineering precision. As a premier defence technology company, our mission is clear: to equip NATO Allies and their partners with next-generation autonomous defence platforms and advanced AI-driven software built to perform in the world’s most demanding environments.
We believe that true security stems from relentless innovation. By combining elite engineering talent with agile technology and an AI-native operational culture, Stark turns complex defence challenges into field-tested, multi-domain solutions.
WHY JOIN US
The software and systems you work on directly protect personnel and defend European and national sovereignty.
You will work alongside industry-leading minds on autonomous systems, advanced propulsion, and secure cyber platforms.
We foster a fast-paced, collaborative environment where bold ideas are supported by serious R&D backing.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Minerva software team develops our overarching command, control, and edge autonomy software across multiple domain platforms and handheld ground stations. We are a geographically distributed, multi-disciplinary engineering group bridging high-level decision-making software with physical vehicle control and sensor payloads. In this role, you will work within the Minerva product organisation and report directly to the Lead Product Manager to ensure seamless cross-platform functionality and multi-sensor integration across all operational deployments.
YOUR MISSION
You will support the product strategy for integrating our core Minerva software architecture—spanning C2 systems to Edge stacks—across diverse uncrewed platforms and sensor payloads. Reporting directly to the Lead Product Manager, you will translate complex multi-domain operational requirements and hardware constraints into structured, actionable engineering roadmaps. Success looks like unified cross-platform releases, advanced AI capabilities delivered on edge assets, robust sensor integration cycles, and reliable platform software performance across all deployment domains.
WHAT YOU WILL DO AT STARK
Specify Concepts of Operation, system and subsystem product requirements, and acceptance criteria
Incorporate customer requirements, operator and customer feedback, and the wider STARK product vision into scalable Minerva versions across different uncrewed platforms and handheld control systems
Establish metrics and acceptance criteria for cross-platform software stability, data latency, and sensor fusion reliability
Define expectations and priorities for AI systems running within edge constraints
Collaborate closely with Lead Product Manager, Product Owners and Technical Product Managers, and Engineering Leads to evaluate technical trade-offs across edge computing and C2 capabilities
Collaborate with system engineers and hardware teams across different hardware platforms to ensure Minerva edge software delivers maximum performance
Work directly with engineering leads and product colleagues to track sprint progress and remove blockers
Support integration compliance with military communication standards and protocols (e.g., SAPIENT, TAK, SitaWare)
Ensure the Minerva stack and development processes respect industry audit requirements (e.g. AQAP)
Anticipate tests and validations and collaborate with IV&V, Product Safety, InfoSec, Configuration Management colleagues to ensure fast release turnarounds without compromising on safety and security
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE MISSION
3+ years of technical product management or product ownership experience software-heavy or complex systems environment
Demonstrated experience supporting complex software integration projects across hardware devices, sensors, or edge computing stacks
Strong technical literacy in software architecture, APIs, and data integration patterns
Experience with foundational AI systems (e.g. in computer vision, localisation)
Proven track record of defining product specifications, backlog grooming, and user stories for agile engineering teams
Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge hardware, software, and operational perspectives
Fluent English verbal and written communication skills
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with defence tech, C2 systems, robotics, or autonomous unmanned vehicles
Familiarity with sensor integration (Radar, EO/IR, LiDAR) and defence protocols (TAK, SAPIENT)
Experience with software products designed for degraded or offline tactical network conditions
Experience with hardware/software integrations
If you're interested in building the future of European Defence with us, and you see yourself reflected on the description above, please send us your CV in English . We're looking forward to meeting you!
